Samantha Markle Calls Meghan a "Delusionally Absurd" Liar for Saying She Paid for Her Own Education
The other day in Fiji, Meghan Markle gave a lovely speech about the importance of education for girls around the world, and revealed that she paid for college all by herself. Which, some COULD say was a pointed way of shutting down her family's claims that Thomas Markle put her through school.
"I am also fully aware of the challenges of being able to afford this level of schooling for many people around the world, myself included," she said. "It was through scholarships, financial aid programs and work-study where my earnings from a job on campus went directly towards my tuition, that I was able to attend university. And, without question, it was worth every effort."
Sounds nice! But Meghan's sister Samantha Markle isn't having it. In a series of extremely disgruntled tweets, Samantha said "Our father paid for all of her education this is an outrageous lie! She needs to stop hiding the truth and trolls need to wake up."
She also called Meghan "delusionally absurd" and wrote: "My sister was able to afford attending the University only because our father paid her tuition completely. There was no scholarship, no grant, or financial aid program involved. The speech was a lie."
Samantha admitted that Meghan did work in college, but said she used her income for "party money and other things." Meanwhile, prior to the royal wedding, Meghan's half-brother told the Daily Mail that her dad won the lottery, which is what paid for Meghan's tuition. Samantha also clarified this.
"He did not win the lottery that was a weird grammar but he did work his butt off 70 hours a week at ABC and paid for her education," she said. "Kindergarten through elementary, immaculate heart, and Northwestern University."
