Sam Rockwell & Michelle Williams Will Star in FX's New Series ‘Fosse/Verdon’

Put on your dancing shoes: Sam Rockwell and Michelle Williams are teaming up for an exciting new project.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the stage and screen stars are set to play the titular characters in FX’s Fosse/Verdon, an upcoming series about two entertainment icons: director-choreographer Bob Fosse and Broadway dancer Gwen Verdon. Rockwell and Williams will play Fosse and Verdon, respectively.

Fosse/Verdon is an eight-episode limited series based on the 2013 biography by Sam Wasson. It will focus on the intense creative and romantic relationship between the iconic duo. Oh, and did we mention it will be executive produced by Lin-Manuel Miranda? *Breaks into happy dance*

Thomas Kail (Hamilton) will direct the series, and Steven Levenson (Dear Evan Hansen) will write the pilot episode and act as showrunner. Miranda will executive produce alongside Rockwell, Williams, Levenson, George Stelzner (Too Young to Marry) and Fosse’s daughter, Nicole Fosse (Miami Vice).

Although FX has yet to announce a premiere date, we have no doubt it will be well worth the wait.
