Ryan Reynolds trolled Hugh Jackman's anniversary tweet so hard, because that's what friends do

Being married for 22 years is a milestone worth celebrating, but if you’re Hugh Jackman, apparently it’s also an occasion for getting trolled on Twitter. Yep, it’s true: Jackman took to social media to post the sweetest anniversary tribute to wife Deborra-lee Furness, sharing the loveliest words and photo with his followers. And while most of the responses were nice, Jackman still got roasted…at the hands of Ryan Reynolds.

The pals and costars have long had a playful rivalry, with Reynolds taking every available opportunity to burn Jackman. This has been going on for years, with Reynolds even imitating Jackman in Deadpool in 2015 (it was admittedly pretty hilarious).

So when Jackman posted his super sweet anniversary message on Wednesday, April 11th, Reynolds jumped right on it, revealing that he gave the relationship “3 months, tops,” and we’re cackling.

Jackman began his message writing, “I believe in life we need to see and truly be seen by the most important people in our lives. Deb, from day one, we had that.”

If you’re not yet weeping, he added, “You and the kids are the greatest gift I will ever receive. I love you a gazillion times around the world.”

OK, we’re sobbing.

And in true Deadpool fashion, Reynolds quickly shot back.

Oh, you guys. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait until September 9th, which is Reynolds’ anniversary with his wife, Blake Lively, to see if Jackman responds with an equally savage tweet. All jokes aside, we love this longtime “rivalry,” and we also hope Jackman and Furness had a wonderful day celebrating such a major milestone together. So much love all around!
