Royal Insiders Are Reacting to the Sussexes' Trailer with "Horror" and an "Increasing Sense of Anger"
Wondering how the royal family is feeling about the trailer for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's documetary, Meghan & Harry? Not great! Apparently this 1 minute and 12 second trailer has caused palace insiders to completely lose it. Like, there is simply no chill to be found.
Daily Mail royal reporter Rebecca English spoke to several royal sources who "reacted with horror and an increasing sense of anger," one of whom quite literally said "I don't see how anyone could view it as anything other than a declaration of war." Er...the majority of this trailer is literally cute pictures of Meghan and Harry at home, but okay!
Meanwhile, another source said that the decision to drop the trailer in the middle of Kate Middleton and Prince William's trip to Boston was definitely picked up on by palace staff, and that "none of this is a surprise."
"One can only conclude this is a concerted publicity drive on their behalf to stoke up interest in this documentary and is designed to clash with the Wales' visit this week," a "well placed" source mused.
I mean, maybe! Or, Netflix just wanted to release a trailer for this doc before it drops on December 8. Either way. And by the way, that December 8 premiere date hasn't actually been confirmed by the streaming giant, who simply said that Meghan & Harry is "coming soon."
So, guess just log into whoever's Netflix account you're stealing next Thursday and see if the most hotly anticipated show of the year happens to drop in your lap? See you there!
