Robert Irwin
Robert Irwin proved to be the perfect on-camera travel guide while filming an ad in partnership with the campaign Discover Tasmania.
In the video shared on Instagram, the 19-year-old showed fans Tasmania's Maria Island, calling it one of the "most rugged and beautiful spots in this amazing state." The teen crouched on the ground as adorable wombats and emus walked around him feet away.
He then showed viewers the bay and leaned closer to the camera, telling viewers, "I wish you could be here, I wish you could stand here and take it in. It's breathtaking in every sense of the word."
Irwin added, "Then I get to have a picnic here. I feel like the luckiest bloke in the world!" He munched on a sandwich while gazing at the stunning view.
Additionally, he gave viewers a mini history lesson while the fossil cliffs, which, as the name suggests, are covered in fossilized clams, corals, and scallop shells. "This is one of the best exposures of the iridescent shells of anywhere in Australia and indeed the world," he explained.
His fans were amazed by how at ease Irwin seems in front of the camera. A comment read, "He's so good in front of the camera. Such a natural, it makes me so excited for him! And happy for me too because I get to enjoy watching him!" Another fan shared, "I'm looking forward to your Attenborough style documentaries. You are so amazing to listen to."
A big reason why Irwin is such a natural while recording is because he's been on film since he was a kid. He first appeared on TV in a guest appearance on his older sister Bindi's series Bindi the Jungle Girl in 2007. Most recently, he stared alongside his family in Crickey! It's the Irwins, an Animal Planet series in which he and his family show viewers a day in the life of being zookeepers at the Australia Zoo.
