It's not often that Robert Irwin ditches his classic khaki uniform, but when he does, he cleans up real nice!
If his smile is anything to go by, the conservationist was thrilled to be in attendance at Prince William's third-annual Earthshot Prize ceremony in Singapore on Nov. 7, where he presented one of the evening's awards, honoring innovation in environmentalism.
The 19-year-old dressed up in a black tux and matching tie with a white button-up, while his date, girlfriend Rorie Buckey, wore a beautiful floral gown in muted greens and blues, featuring ruffled accents over the shoulders and draped from the center of her bust around her waist, as well as symmetric cutouts on the sides.
She accessorized with a small pearl handbag, a delicate necklace, and a pair of chandelier earrings.
Irwin followed up with a series of photos and videos on his own Instagram account, where he was captured waving at the photographers after escorting Buckey to the step and repeat.
"What an unforgettable night presenting at the @earthshotprize awards in Singapore. Thank you to His Royal Highness Prince William for having @roriebuckey and I, and a big thanks to the incredible team, fellow presenters and hosts. A night of hope for the future of our environment. ????," he wrote alongside the carousel.
The Earthshot Prize was inspired by President John F. Kennedy's 1962 "Moonshot" challenge, where he aimed to get a man to the moon within a decade. In 2020, Prince William launched the organization "to search for and scale the most innovative solutions to the world’s greatest environmental challenges," according to its website.
Its five goals are to Protect and Restore Nature; Clean our Air; Revive our Oceans; Build a Waste-Free World; and Fix our Climate, and Robert has been embodying all of them since he was born.
