Robert Irwin Casually Lets 'Chill' Python Crawl Up His Face in New Nature Video
We dare you to not say, "Crikey," after watching Robert Irwin's newest nature video.
Over the weekend, the famed zookeeper, 19, took to Instagram to share a video of his latest find in nature: A wild black-headed python.
In the video, the conservationist giddily picked up the wild snake—which Steve Irwin's son dubbed "a find"—and displayed it for the camera. "Here he is," Irwin declared. "Ah, he's a chill one."
As he continued to examine the reptile, Irwin explained, "Look how beautiful that is. It's like they've just been dipped in dark chocolate."
And, despite the python going for a crawl up Irwin's face, the wildlife enthusiast kept his composure. "Look at him, he's climbing up my face," he noted with a laugh. "He's constricting on my head. Oop, don't bite me on the neck."
So the non-venomous python could feel more "comfy," Irwin let the snake wrap around his head, lovingly asking at the same time, "Hey, buddy! How are you?"
He further quipped, "I can't believe he hasn't bitten me yet."
Fans couldn't get enough of Irwin's latest adventure with wildlife, with many sharing their enjoyment in the comments. One fan commented, "I feel like most animals in Australia would bite or attack anyone else but once they realize it’s one of the Irwin’s they’re like oh what up."
Another chimed in, "It really is… sort of…cute isn’t it? Or is it the Irwin effect?"
However, a third simply marveled at how much Irwin resembled his late father, "You are your father's son, without a doubt. Makes me tear up! Your dad was one-of-a-kind. You follow in his footsteps."
Irwin's father Steve, famously known as "The Crocodile Hunter," died in 2006 at the age of 44 after a stingray injury to the heart.
There's no denying that Irwin, his mother Terri and sister Bindi have kept Steve's legacy alive in the almost two decades since.
