How 'All Rise' Plans to Honor Anne Heche's Final TV Appearance
One of Anne Heche's final performances is set to air on Saturday, Sept. 30, and the series is reportedly set to honor her at the episode's conclusion.
The late actress guest-starred on a number of episodes of the OWN legal drama All Rise, which originally premiered on CBS, and returns for her final appearance as lawyer Corrine Cuthbert on Saturday night. The character, who will have appeared in six episodes total across the second and third seasons, returns in the 13th episode of the third and final season as part of the week's trial case.
TVLine reports that the episode will end with a dedication to their late colleague, reading:
“In Memory of Anne Heche
Our Friend and Wonderful Artist
You Are Missed”
The episode was shot in June 2022 according to the publication, but the series took a year-long hiatus between the mid-season finale and its final run of episodes, which premiered on Sept. 16.
Heche passed away just two months after filming at the age of 53, as a result of a "sternal fracture due to blunt trauma" secondary to "inhalation and thermal injuries" received after she crashed her car into a Los Angeles-area residence, resulting in a fiery scene.
While her final role is approaching, All Rise does not mark the very last to air, as she will also appear in Wildfire: The Legend of the Cherokee Ghost Horse, an indie film set to release on Nov. 2, 2023. A project named Chasing Nightmares, noted to be in post-production, appears on her IMDB page as well.
