Rihanna Wore a Fur Jacket to Dior Show — and Social Media Is Not Happy
Rihanna turned heads in a fur coat as a shirt at the star-studded Christian Dior Cruise 2018 runway show in Calabasas, Calif., on Thursday night.
The pop star wore the luxurious wrap off her shoulders with a leather belt and distressed cuffed denim. She accessorized the look from the Christian Dior Resort 2018 collection with a number of layered necklaces, turquoise jewelry, and a hat from the designer.
While the Rihanna is known for never shying away from controversial fashions, her fur jacket still caused a stir amongst her fans on social media. Other than the fact that the coat was an unconventional garment for the California heat, users didn’t like the fact that the singer was wearing the animal hair in the first place.

The Dior ambassador likely doesn’t care what any of these fans think, as she’s hit back at critics of her choice to wear fur in the past.
A follower commented on her Instagram post featuring her 2015 Met Gala look with, “You don’t have to show us your richness wearing animal’s skin. Not proud.” Rihanna responded, “Funny enough this didn’t cost me a cent. But continue.” It’s unsurprising that she completely dismissed the fan’s comment, as many of her past looks have incorporated fur.
Despite some followers calling her out for the coat in her Dior ensemble Thursday night, she also received plenty of positive feedback from fans praising her look.
A number of other high-profile celebrities also attended the show, including Charlize Theron, Brie Larson, Kelly Rowland, and Kiernan Shipka, among others.
