Many Twitter users were overjoyed by the sight of a size-inclusive model.
“Never in my adult life have I seen a male model that has a similar body to mine,” one said. “I feel . . . almost emotional? Like I finally can buy something I saw and want and KNOW it was made for people like me in mind.”
“She just proves that these other brands are pretentious and discriminatory for NO REASON,” another wrote.
“Rihanna clutch. I never seen a model built like me before. This s*** just did wonders for my confidence,” a third commented.
The model himself, Steven G., also expressed joy over being featured in the campaign.

The Savage X Fenty’s “Vol. 2” fashion show — which premiered on Amazon Prime Video on October 2 as well, has also been lauded for its multi-cultural cast of models.

The Fenty brand, which launched in 2017, first went viral for featuring curvy models in ad campaigns and in-store mannequins.
Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty has also been praised for offering an inclusive selection of 40 different shades of foundation, and Fenty Skin introduced a “gender-neutral” skincare line marketed to all people.
