Riders Announced For World's Hardest Downhill
This fall, Red Bull made the exciting announcement that their iconic Hadrline was expanding and that they added a second event in the southern hemisphere. Red Bull Hardline Tasmania Will take place on February 24, 2024.
Today, Red Bull announced the official roster for the Australian edition of Hardline. See who will be racing below.
The lineup for 2024 has some exciting editions. Though women were invited to the 2023 Hardline in Wales, the race was canceled. Tasmania will be the first time that women compete in a Hardline event.
Additionally, the field has expanded. In the inaugural event in 2014, there were only 9 competitors. Hardline 2024 will feature 38 riders and will include some of the most electric racers in the World Cup like Loic Bruni, Jackson Goldstone, and Tahnée Seagrave. Hardline is going big!

This year’s selection also shows a commitment to expanding into the freeride talent pool. Thomas Genon will return for his second stint at Hardline and Reed Boggs and Tomas Lemoine will compete for the first time. Likewise, Hannah Bergemann and Casey Brown are predominantly

The expansion of Red Bull Hardline will be a great thing for the sport of downhill. The popularity of Hardline and the media circus around it only brings eyes and popularity. Hardline offers a less serious race scene than the World Cup. Without the bureaucracy of the UCI, Red Bull can fully lean into the sheer entertainment aspect of racing.
And popular announcer Rob Warner, who no longer calls World Cups because he is still an employee of Red Bull, will be in the booth.
The emergence of Hardline in the downhill racing ecosystem has been a grand slam. Who can complain about two more high-level races that happen to feature the biggest jumps in the world? I for one can’t wait to see it.
