Richard Quinn Fall 2025: My Fair Lady
It was raining in London on Friday night but not on Richard Quinn’s runway, which was covered in snowdrifts and lined with tall Victorian street lamps that led to a large white town house.
The town house facade sat behind a tall black iron gate, and evergreen shrubs, part of an elaborate set that was Quinn’s tribute to his beloved London and its grand Edwardian architecture.

The designer said he wanted to capture that fleeting moment of calm before a woman steps out the door on her way to the ball, event or just a grand night out.
Given all the snow — it fluttered down from the rafters throughout the show — his ladies stepped carefully out of the front door and over the thick drifts in high heels, and lavishly embellished gowns and dresses with enough sparkle to fill the Milky Way.
Quinn played with two — and three — tone looks, as in the black-and-white prom style that opened the show, and a lineup of gowns with rosettes, bows and capes in contrasting colors.
A Barbie-pink bow cinched the waist of a black-and-white embroidered dress, while a long, slim velvet dress had a shawl top in bright aqua. A café au lait-colored tulle gown was covered with a ribbon pattern picked out in silvery beads.
Quinn added sweeter colors to the mix, including a mint tulle gown with feathers and a train, and a long, slim dress with ’60s flair that was the color of lemon curd.
The designer indulged his love of the ’60s, sending out embellished trapeze styles and dressing an iconic face of the era, 75-year-old Penelope Tree, in a snappy, sparkling shirt dress, black tights, and flats, because sometimes less is more.
