‘RHOSLC’ Star Jen Shah Breaks Silence on Instagram After Fraud Arrest
HELLO, ALL-CAPS GOOD MORNING, JEN SHAH HAS BROKEN HER SILENCE after being arrested for fraud. Hopping on Instagram over the weekend, the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star shared a photo of herself along with “FREE JEN” and “Thank you for being loyal, believing in me and not believing the hype. This journey has showed me who my true friends are. All my love. #ShahSquad.”
Huh! Clearly, Jen thinks there’s more to this story than meets the eye—“this story” being the fact that she is facing federal charges of wire fraud and money laundering, to which she’s since pleaded not guilty.
As a reminder in case you somehow missed this plot twist, Jen and her assistant Stuart Smith were arrested on March 30, and Manhattan U.S. Attorney Audrey Strauss said they “allegedly generated and sold ‘lead lists’ of innocent individuals for other members of their scheme to repeatedly scam. In actual reality and as alleged, the so-called business opportunities pushed on the victims by Shah, Smith, and their co-conspirators were just fraudulent schemes, motivated by greed, to steal victims’ money. Now, these defendants face time in prison for their alleged crimes.”
Oh, and Homeland Security Investigations Agent-in-Charge (casual) Peter C. Fitzhugh said: “As alleged, disturbingly, Shah and Smith objectified their very real human victims as ‘leads’ to be bought and sold, offering their personal information for sale to other members of their fraud ring.”
!!!!!!
Meanwhile, it appears as though RHOSLC Season 2 was fully filming at the time of Jen’s arrest, although according to Entertainment Tonight, it’s unknown if the arrest was captured on camera. Guess we’ll...watch what...happens?
