Reese Witherspoon Is Planning a Trip to NYC and She Shared Everything on Her To-do List
Reese Witherspoon seems to know that planning a trip can be just as fun as the trip itself.
In September, Witherspoon will go on tour to promote her new book, “Whiskey in a Teacup,” kicking off with a stop in New York City.
Taking a hint from the “bleisure” travel trend, Witherspoon will blend business with leisure, visiting a few NYC hotspots while she’s in town to promote her book. In a series of Instagram Story posts, the actress detailed her dream itinerary for her upcoming trip to New York City.

As a performer herself, Witherspoon would be remiss to skip a trip to Broadway. At the top of her list of must-see shows is “Head Over Heels,” a new musical featuring the music of The Go-Gos.
Any Manhattan trip must have culture. Witherspoon’s art-focused stops include the Guggenheim Museum (currently hosting a retrospective on the artist Alberto Giacometti) and the Heavenly Bodies exhibit at the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
For her culinary options, Witherspoon mentioned that she has “always wanted to try out the famous Cookie Do” shop. The decadent sweet spot offers a childhood dream: seemingly endless flavors of cookie dough you can eat raw in the shop or take home to bake.
Her final NYC plan is a stop at the U.S. Open Tennis Championship in Queens. This year, the 50th anniversary tournament runs from Aug. 27–Sept. 9.
Witherspoon will appear at Town Hall Theatre in New York City on Sept. 17.
