Raquel Leviss Unveils Details From First Tom Sandoval Hook Up
Rachel Leviss attends KIIS FM's iHeartRadio Jingle Ball 2023 presented by Capital One at The Kia Forum on Dec. 1, 2023, in Inglewood, Calif.
In March 2023, Vanderpump Rules stars Rachel "Raquel" Leviss and Tom Sandoval broke the internet when news broke of their months-long affair. Information about the shocking infidelity—which has been dubbed "Scandoval"—has slowly been revealed. And now, Leviss is finally unveiling new details of the night she first hooked up with her friend's boyfriend.
Leviss spilled all the tea on her new podcast, Rachel Goes Rogue. During the first episode, which debuted on Jan. 8, the reality star explained that fateful night started with drinks at the SUR. She and Sandoval eventually moved to a bar called The Abbey, at his suggestion, instead of sticking with the rest of their social group.
Later, Leviss offered to drive Sandoval to his house, which he shared with his then-girlfriend, Ariana Madix. They chatted in her car for 20 minutes or so before Sandoval invited her to stay.
"He's like, ‘Do you want to come in for a nightcap?’” Leviss recalled. “And I was like, ‘Oh, twist my arm why don't you? Yeah, of course I do.’”
When the pair attempted enter the house, Sandoval realized he locked himself out (Madix was asleep inside). They opted to hang out by the fire pit, which eventually turned into Sandoval mentioning his pool was heated. Leviss suggested they go for a swim.
"I took my jeans off, and I had this corset top on, so I left that on. And I was in my underwear, and I went in his pool," she explained, noting that Sandoval was in his boxers.
“He looked at me a certain way, and then he like, grabbed me, spun me and kissed me,” Leviss said. “I was surprised, but like, happy. Ugh, god. So bad. So embarrassing.”
She continued: “I knew it was wrong. Tom knew it was wrong. Because right after Tom kissed me, he sat on the stair of the pool and he was like, hands on his face. His mind must have been running a million miles a minute contemplating what to do.”

Although Leviss expressed that she should leave, she said Sandoval encouraged her to sit by the fire pit again. Leviss asked if he'd rather talk through the situation in her car, and that's where the hook-up went down.
Leviss described their first encounter as "very bad," but declined to share who initiated the physical intimacy.
"Does it even matter who made the first move?" she said. "Because it was like, I feel like I’m in this, like, romantic... I feel swept off my feet, I feel so infatuated and, like, loved.”
Alas, the feeling didn't last—because today, Leviss and Sandoval are not a couple, and neither are Madix and Sandoval.
