It’s important to follow the rules of the road: You have to signal for turns, give the right of way and always put on your headlights in the dark. Most of the time, we put this responsibility on drivers, thinking that the technology on the road is also doing its part.

The rail crossing's boom barrier, which would normally block drivers from coming close to the tracks well before any trains come through, didn’t even start coming down until after the train had passed.
