Rachel Zegler, Hunter Schafer, Olivia Rodrigo and More Stars Sparkle at ‘The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes’ Premiere
Following the conclusion of the Screen Actors Guild strike on Nov. 9, red carpets are now back in full swing, with the premiere of “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes” taking place on Monday evening in Los Angeles. The new prequel follows a successful lineup of teen sci-fi films based on Suzanne Collins’ bestselling novels.
Below, see what stars including Rachel Zegler, Hunter Schafer and Olivia Rodrigo wore to the premiere of “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes.”

Rachel Zegler
Zegler sported an Elie Saab haute couture gown from the designer’s fall 2023 collection. Her sheer taupe frock featured crystal embellishments and a matching shawl. She also added a selection of Tiffany & Co. jewels, which included rubellite and aquamarine rings and a set of diamond studs. Zegler was styled by Sarah Slutsky Tooley.
Makeup artist Allan Avenda?o gave the actress beige eye shadow, winged liner and a glossy nude lip, while hairdresser Marissa Marino styled her dark tresses in waves.
Hunter Schafer
Schafer wore a ruffled cutout gown by Alexander McQueen, which was covered in pewter beading. The actress accessorized with matching heeled ankle boots and jeweled cuffs.
Olivia Rodrigo
Rodrigo, whose song “Can’t Catch Me Now” appears on “The Hunger Games” soundtrack, donned a custom halter neck creation by Rodarte. The pop star’s shimmering frock featured floral appliqués and black sequins. Stylist Danielle Goldberg, who dresses fellow stars including Greta Lee and Ayo Edebiri, curated Rodrigo’s look for the premiere.
Viola Davis
Oscar-winning actress Viola Davis sparkled in a green sequined cape from Oscar de la Renta. Her look also included black Calzedonia tights, sharp pumps and Tabayer jewels. Elizabeth Stewart styled Davis for the occasion. Cate Blanchett, Jessica Chastain and Amanda Seyfried are among Stewart’s other A-list clients.
Hairdresser Jamika Wilson styled Davis’ bob in waves, while makeup artist Sergio López-Rivera gave the actress black eyeliner and a pop of pink blush.
Conan Gray
Singer Conan Gray opted for a velvet Gaurav Gupta blazer featuring gold feathered embroidery. He added a pair of flared trousers and a silk striped button-up, completing his ensemble with black boots.
