Rachel McAdams has impromptu photo shoot while pumping — and she looks stunning
Rachel McAdams has seriously glamorized pumping. The Game Night star, who welcomed her first child with boyfriend Jamie Linden earlier this year, recently participated in a high-fashion photo shoot, but it’s a behind-the-scenes snap that is getting the most buzz.
Photographer Claire Rothstein shared a picture of McAdams “between shots” decked out in Versace and Bulgari diamonds while pumping. The shoot happened about six months postpartum and Rothstein notes on Instagram that she and McAdams have a “mutual appreciation disagreement about who’s idea it was to take this picture.” Rothstein swears it was McAdams’s call, “which makes me love her even more.”
“Breastfeeding is the most normal thing in the world and I can’t for the life of me imagine why or how it is ever frowned upon or scared of,” Rothstein notes in her caption. “I don’t even think it needs explaining but just wanted to put this out there, as if it even changes one person’s perception of something so natural, so normal, so amazing then that’s great.”

The image has been flooded with positive comments.
“This is f’ing amazing,” wrote one person, and another added, “This photo is AMAZING!! Go Rachel! I’m totally fan girling on her even more now!!”
“Such a powerful photos! Amazing job!” added another user.
“THANK YOU SO MUCH. I’m in tears. She is a genius and you too!” one person added. Another commented, “This is so empowering and freakin awesome.”
One fellow mother called the picture “Amazing,” adding, “Not exactly how I looked but def how I felt!”
McAdams is notoriously tight-lipped about her personal life, so not much is known about her little boy. Last month, she raved about motherhood.
“It’s the greatest thing that’s ever happened to me, hands down,” she told the U.K.’s Sunday Times.
“[People say] your life is not your own any more. But I had 39 years of me, I was sick of me, I was so happy to put the focus on some other person.”
The 40-year-old actress explained that she “waited a long time” to finally become a mother. “It’s just how it happened. And I didn’t want to do it before it was the right time,” she added.
