The Queen Has Reportedly Majorly Upgraded Princess Beatrice's Wedding Venue
Reminder: Princess Beatrice is getting married to property tycoon Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
Queen Elizabeth is reportedly letting them hold their wedding reception at Buckingham Palace.
Okay, I know that a lot has been going on with the royal family ever since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry decided to step down as senior royals, but how dare you forget that Princess Beatrice has a wedding coming up!
Of course, you might have also been distracted from Beatrice's wedding news due to her father Prince Andrew also stepping down from his royal duties because of his scandalous association with Jeffrey Epstein. And Prince Andrew's drama has already had an effect on Princess Beatrice's wedding celebrations—apparently he didn't come to her engagement party because he didn't think it would be a "good look."
However, it seems like the Queen hasn't forgotten about Beatrice's wedding and wants to make sure that it's a BFD. Daily Mail reports that in order to give her granddaughter a "morale boost," the Queen offered to hold Beatrice's wedding reception at Buckingham Palace. One of Beatrice's friends told the outlet, "Bea was delighted and very grateful to accept. It was a really special gesture as it will be the first wedding celebration at Buckingham Palace since William and Catherine's in 2011."
This also comes after news that Beatrice and her sister Princess Eugenie might be the ones stepping in for Meghan and Harry. According to royal biographer Robert Lacey, "If two go out, two have got to come in, and those two have got to be Beatrice and Eugenie. I’m sure they will step forward and be greatly welcomed."
So maybe this upgraded wedding location is also the Queen's way of thanking Beatrice for stepping up? It's all very unclear!
