Pumpkin Spice Lattes May Be Back Sooner Than You Think
On Wednesday, Starbucks' official Pumpkin Spice Latte Twitter account tweeted for the first time in almost a year, and my PSL-loving heart can't take it-and neither can the Internet, which is in a tizzy looking for Easter eggs to figure out exactly when the coffee chain plans to drop its most cherished seasonal item.
The account teased its more than 100,000 followers with a post that read, "Going offline for a while. Busy modeling for the #LeafRakersSociety Facebook group. Can you spot me?"

Starbucks created The Leaf Rakers Society back in July to celebrate "Fall. Year. Long," and rumors are swirling within the PSL-loving community about the drink's official release date. Business Insider reports that members are already asking about when they can get their hands on a PSL, and Starbucks' official Facebook account is playing coy with no-comment emoji replies. Baristas also have posted photos to Reddit showing pumpkin spice-flavored syrup arriving in stores, according to the Business Insider report.
Still, many in the group are speculating that August 28 is the date to mark on your calendars. Last year, the autumn staple was available on September 5.
Cosmopolitan.com reached out to Starbucks for comment, and a representative replied cheekily, "Our pumpkins aren’t ready to make their handcrafted PSL debut yet. We’ll have more news to share soon. 😉"
But beginning next week, PSL lovers can enjoy the seasonal drink without having to hop over to Starbs. The brand is releasing additional on-the-go Pumpkin Spice products including K-Cup pods and cookie straws, which will be available at grocery stores across the country.
Happy (almost) fall, everyone!
