Priyanka Chopra on the skin care industry: 'All my life I've been using skin care products which were never tested on my skin tone'

Priyanka Chopra is opening up about the shocking revelation she discovered about her own beauty routine, after partnering with skincare company, Obagi.

Chopra, 36, revealed, “all my life i’ve been using skin products that were never tested on my skin tone...it blew my mind,” she said. “My skin will react completely differently to the sun or the environment than someone else’s,” she added.

Her partnership with Obagi began with her desire to have a larger conversation around diversity in beauty and in beauty products. The campaign, “Skinclusion,” aims to start that conversation on a global scale. "We need to make sure the conversation is so loud, that we in our actions are inclusive,” she said. "Your skin is the one thing you wear everyday,” the star says. “It’s such an amazing campaign to me because it’s calling out the industry and saying ‘Why hasn’t this happened? Why am I not important?’”

As for why diversity is so important, Chopra explained, “If we today as humanity create a world where I’m not afraid of someone who’s different than me I’m actually curious...you befriend people, you include people...the next generation shouldn’t have to think about it. This is our quest and our investment in the world.” She added, “The world becomes so much prettier because it's not just one thing.”
