Just one year ago, Eugenie and Jack hosted a multi-day affair to celebrate their wedding. First, the couple married at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle, where Eugenie debuted her stunning dress by Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos, worn with the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik tiara, for the first time. The star-studded wedding service featured a performance by Andrea Bocelli, while Princess Beatrice, who served as her sister's maid of honor, gave a reading from The Great Gatsby. The guest list totaled over 800 people in all, with a numerous celebrities in attendance including Kate Moss, Ellie Goulding, and Naomi Campbell.
After the ceremony, Eugenie and Jack shared their first kiss on the steps of St. George's Chapel before embarking on a carriage ride around Windsor.
Following the ceremony, The Queen hosted an afternoon reception at Windsor Castle, and later guests attended an intimate evening reception at Royal Lodge, the York family home. The following day, the celebration continued with a "festival and funfair" themed party also held at the Royal Lodge.
Today's Instagram isn't the first time Eugenie has shared a wedding post to mark a special occasion. On her 29th birthday in March 2019, Eugenie chose a gorgeous picture from her nighttime wedding reception as she reflected on her 28th year:
My 28th year was the best one yet. Now to being 29...Thank you for all the birthday wishes.
