Princess Eugenie Just Posted an Adorable Throwback Photo in Honor of Princess Beatrice's Birthday
It's time to pop some champagne and celebrate yet another royal birthday! Princess Beatrice turns 30 today, and in honor of the milestone, her mom, dad, and other members of the royal family are sending her their well wishes.
But perhaps the sweetest post of the day came from Beatrice's younger sister, Princess Eugenie. This afternoon, Eugenie shared a gallery of four photos on her Instagram account, starting with a vintage snapshot of Beatrice sitting with her mom, Sarah Ferguson. The caption reads, "Happy 30th birthday to you Beatrice... what an amazing sister you are and we are so proud of the person you have become!"

The two sisters, who are only 21 months apart in age, reportedly have a very close relationship. In a 2008 interview with The Telegraph, Princess Eugenie said, "We get on fantastically well, perhaps because we do and think different things. I am definitely not as polite as Beatrice, I have to say. I tell it as it is. I am shyer at first," she said.
"Like, at a party I will say to Beatrice as we go in, 'Oh, you go first.' But then, when we're actually in, I am much louder and she is far more polite and solicitous."
Further proof of their tight-knit bond? When Eugenie walks down the aisle this October, Princess Beatrice will be right by her sister's side, serving as her maid of honor. In an interview with British Vogue about the wedding details, Beatrice shared some heartwarming words about her sister. "Euge is amazing. She’s a very modern bride," she said.
While we aren't entirely sure of what Beatrice's birthday plans entailed today, we can only hope that she's as thrilled today as she was here, at 2013 Royal Ascot.
