Princess Charlotte Has Dropped Her Title for This Very Important Reason
It's back to school season for the royals, and class is officially in session for the Cambridges.
Prince George, 6, and Princess Charlotte, 4, started attending the same school this year. Their first day was Thursday, September 5. It's Charlotte's first year at Thomas's Battersea Day School, and George's third year.
The $23,000-per-year school may come with a hefty price tag, but that doesn't mean the little royals won't lay low. Like Prince George, who goes by the name George Cambridge at school, Princess Charlotte will follow in her big brother's footsteps and drop her formal royal title, according to People.
Most likely, Charlotte will be Charlotte Cambridge when she's in the classroom, or use her sweet nickname of "Lottie," which Kate Middleton often uses when referring to her only daughter. This will help mitigate some of the attention from classmates that's sure to come with their royal status.
Reportedly, Charlotte is taking French, Computing, Art, Music, Drama and Ballet, while her brother George is enrolled in English, Math, Science, History, French, Art, Music, Swimming, Ballet and Games.
Prince William and Kate Middleton dropped off their kids at school together, and sported fresh tans from their summer vacation in Mustique. Kate also showed off a new haircut and color, and re-wore a MICHAEL Michael Kors dress that paid tribute to Meghan and Harry.
This was a very special day for the duchess, too, since she missed the kids' first day of school in 2017 due to pregnancy-related sickness when she was expecting with Prince Louis, according to Hello!.
Welcome to History 101, Lottie Cambridge. We're sure you'll absolutely ace the monarchy lessons.
