Prince Philip Gives Up His Driver's License Following His Car Accident Last Month
Last month Prince Philip got into a scary car crash, and it has been all kinds of drama since.
Prince Philip hit a car with two women and a baby, and while thankfully everyone was okay, one woman, named Emma Fairweather, broke her wrist. Emma spoke out about feeling "rejected" by Philip after the crash because he didn't reach out/say sorry, and weeks later he finally sent an apology note.
Amidst all of this, there were also reports that Queen Elizabeth has "pleaded with him to stop driving on public roads," but even so, Philip was seen driving in a new car just days after the accident.
However, news broke today that Philip, who is 97 years old btw, has just surrendered his driver's license. Bucking Palace confirmed the news with a statement saying, "After careful consideration The Duke of Edinburgh has taken the decision to voluntarily surrender his driving licence.”

But don't feel badly for the duke-he is still a royal, so it's safe to assume that he can just be chauffeured anywhere he wants to go.
