Prince Harry Gives Fans the Surprise of a Lifetime
Prince Harry delighted fans on Monday night when he showed up at a Chula Vista, Calif. screening of his new docuseries, Heart of Invictus, which premiered Aug. 30 on Netflix. "You guys get to see Heart of Invictus, which has been the last two years in the making, sooner than anybody else," he told attendees at the AMC theater.

One guest, children's book author Grace Ann Skidmore, shared a bit about the once-in-a-lifetime surprise on Instagram. "As a military spouse, USO volunteer, and someone who is passionate about military advocacy this event was one of a kind and I am so thankful for the experience," she wrote.
Skidmore's friend Bonnie Pham, who was also in attendance, posted a video in which the Duke of Sussex can be heard addressing guests who have ties to the military. "You all serve, whether you’re the ones who wear the uniform, or whether you’re the spouse, or whether you’re the child who gets moved around the country..." he said.

The Invictus Games, founded by Prince Harry in 2014, is an international sporting event for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women. The new docuseries focuses on the Games that took place in 2022 at The Hague in the Netherlands, and features more than 500 athletes representing 17 countries. (The Duke of Sussex makes an appearance in the project as well.)
This year's Games kick off next month in Dusseldorf, Germany. All five episodes of Heart of Invictus are available to stream on Netflix now.
