Prince George and Princess Charlotte Attend Queen Elizabeth's Funeral
Prince George and Princess Charlotte attended their great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth's funeral at Westminster Abbey. George, 9, and Charlotte, 7, were the youngest mourners in the audience.
The royal kids joined the Abbey procession behind the Queen's coffin, sandwiched by their parents Prince William and Princess Kate and their aunt and uncle, Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex. Prince Louis, 4, was likely deemed too young for the state funeral.
Prince George and Princess Charlotte drove to the funeral with their mom, the Princess of Wales, and their step-grandmother, Camilla, Queen Consort.

The royal kids began a new school the day their great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth died. "They're in school, being well looked after," their mom, Princess Kate, told well-wishers at Sandringham this past weekend. "They're in a routine and they're happy. They're with new friends." Prince William said something similar, telling a royal fan, "They're settling in. We're trying to keep everything constant and settled for them."
While all the Queen's four children and eight grandchildren were in attendance at the funeral, most of her great-grandchildren were not. Queen Elizabeth has twelve great-grandchildren; the youngest is Princess Beatrice's daughter, Sienna Elizabeth, who is just 11 months old.
On Thursday, September 8, as the Queen's health took a turn for the worse and she passed away at Balmoral, members of the royal family quickly rushed to Scotland. However, Kate stayed behind, because Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis had their first day of school at Lambrook School in Berkshire. The new Prince and Princess of Wales and their children recently moved to Windsor, where they are now living in Adelaide Cottage.
