Prince Charles Will Travel to India in November
This fall promises to be a busy one for Prince Charles. In addition to an upcoming tour of New Zealand with his wife, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, the heir to the British throne will also be making a solo visit to India.
At the request of the British government, Prince Charles will travel to the country on November 13 and 14.
Details about the visit are slim thus far, but today, Clarence House announced that while there, the Prince of Wales will participate in engagements "to celebrate British-Indian connections." Specifically, Prince Charles will arrive in New Delhi, and his events will be focused on sustainable markets, climate change, and social finance.

Royal blogger Gert's Royals also notes that Prince Charles will celebrate his 71st birthday while in India, so perhaps there will be some festivities to mark the milestone on the itinerary.
This upcoming trip will mark Prince Charles's tenth visit India and his second in roughly two years. Most recently, he and Camilla spent time there in 2017, during their official tour of Brunei, India, Singapore, and Malaysia. He also notably traveled to the country with Princess Diana in 1992.
And during a 2003 visit with Camilla, he delivered a speech in Mumbai in which he said, "I will have to pay many more visits to this vast and diverse country for which I have a particular affection." He appears to be making good on that promise.
News of Charles's tour comes just a little over a week week after his eldest son Prince William and his wife, the Duchess of Cambridge, returned from their recent trip to Pakistan. Harry and Meghan also traveled to southern Africa last month.
