Prince Charles Was Responsible for *This* Special Part of the Royal Wedding Ceremony
As anyone who’s walked down the aisle knows, parents (and their many opinions) can be an added stress during the wedding planning process. But Prince Charles isn’t a regular dad, he’s a cool helpful dad.
Not only did he walk his daughter-in-law Meghan Markle down the aisle, but according to On Heir podcast hosts Emily Andrews and Omid Scobie, the next in line to the throne also orchestrated one of the grandest moments of the royal wedding ceremony: the Kingdom Choir’s rendition of the Ben E. King song “Stand by Me.”
“Apparently [The Kingdom Choir] was Charles’s choice, apparently Charles recommended them to Harry and Meghan, which I was surprised at. I was told that by one of Charles’s member of staff yesterday,” Andrews revealed.
She went on to share that Charles had an integral part in the ceremony, saying, “I thought that Harry and Meghan had chosen all the music personally, but you got the feeling that Charles really helped them with the service because music is something that he’s very knowledgeable in.”
Looks like Meg’s relationship with her in-laws is off to a royally good start. Well done, team.
