Pride 2024: Here are 6 events and celebrations across Fort Worth and Tarrant County
As June ushered in, a vibrant color of events painted the calendar of Fort Worth to celebrate Pride Month.
The community offers everything from parades to panels in an effort to educate, entertain and engage North Texas residents on the importance and recognition of this month. Here are six events coming up this month.
Arlington Pride
Arlington Pride 2024 is Saturday, June 8, at Levitt Pavillion in downtown Arlington from 6-8 p.m. The free event includes performances and appearances by Betty Who, Dixon Dallas, Alyssa Edwards, Kameron Ross and JuJuBee.
Trinity Pride Fest 2024
Live music, drag performances, food and drink vendors, and more will be featured at this bash. Trinity Pride Fest takes place on June 15 at Magnolia Green with no entry fees and free parking. Music will be performed by headliner David Archuleta, featuring the alternative soul band Britton & The Sting. Other performances include Deja Dubois, JT Davenport, DJ CP, and more.
Rooftop Cinema Club downtown Fort Worth Pride screenings
The Rooftop Cinema Club is celebrating LGBTQ+ culture with a week-long showcase of films from June 20-27. The lineup includes “But I’m a Cheerleader,” “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” “To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar,” and “Purple Rain: Silent Disco.”
LGBTQ SAVES Youth Pride Picnic 2024
This annual picnic invites LGBTQ youth ages 24 and younger from across the Metroplex to socialize in a safe space. Sponsored by community partners, the event offers a free lunch and a variety of activities. The picnic will be held on June 22 at Trinity Park. Preregistration is required for free admission.
Stride with Pride
For those looking for a more active way to celebrate Pride, the Liberty Run & Walk Club hosts weekly sessions every Tuesday this June at the Liberty Lounge from 7 to 8 p.m. This event welcomes participants of all abilities to join, get fit, and celebrate Pride inclusively together.
Pride Month 2024 presented by Tarrant County College
Tarrant County College is hosting a Pride celebration on June 27, featuring speaker Sharon Herrera, the founder and executive director of LGBTQ S.A.V.E.S. The event will include crafts, yard games, chalk writing of encouragement, and various other activities. It is free to attend and food will be provided.
