Power of an Hour: Don't Trash Dover seeking volunteers for citywide litter cleanup
DOVER — Don't Trash Dover and the City of Dover are sponsoring "Power of an Hour," a one-hour volunteer litter collection event organized by ward on Saturday, April 27, from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
Residents are encouraged to arrive at their ward's designated meeting location by 9:15 a.m. wearing a safety vest or bright clothing, gloves and closed-toe shoes. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Bags will be provided.
Volunteers will pick up litter in their ward, being mindful of private property and safety, for one hour. The ward with the most, second-most, and third-most participants will receive trophies.
Meeting locations by ward are:
Ward 1: Frances G. Hopkins Elementary School, 78 Horne St.
Ward 2: Dover Ice Arena, 110 Portland Ave.
Ward 3: Woodman Park Elementary School, 11 Towle Ave.
Ward 4: Garrison School, 50 Garrison Road
