Popular Los Angeles ice cream shop to hold pop-up in Bay Area
(KRON) — If you are from or have lived in Los Angeles, you may have heard of this ice cream chain.
Local favorite Wanderlust, which exclusively has locations in Southern California, is holding a pop-up event next weekend in the Bay Area, the business announced in a social media post. The pop-up will take place in Palo Alto on July 27-28.
The exact location and time have not been released. Wanderlust tells its fans to “stay tuned for details.”

In addition, Wanderlust owner Adrienne Borlongan is teaching a class on how to make their signature “Mango Sticky Rice Ice Cream.” The class will be at noon on Saturday, July 27 in the Williams-Sonoma store at Stanford Shopping Center.
The Bay Area can finally have a taste of one of Los Angeles’ more popular ice cream chains. A number of Bay Area locals are excited about the pop-up.
One Wanderlust fan commented on Instagram, “please open a location here (in the Bay Area) I miss it so much.” The ice cream business replied with a “fingers-crossed” emoji — potentially hinting at opening a Bay Area shop.

“I JUST MOVED FROM LA TO THE BAY AND ONE OF THE HARDEST REASONS TO LEAVE IS BECAUSE OF MY LOVE FOR WANDERLUST SO MY DREAMS HAVE COME TRUE,” another Wanderlust fan commented on the post.
Wanderlust opened its first location in Tarzana in the San Fernando Valley in 2015. It has since amassed a fanbase of more than 105,000 followers on Instagram.
There are currently seven Wanderlust locations in Los Angeles: Atwater Village, Fairfax, Pasadena, Sawtelle Japantown, Smorgasburg (DTLA), Tarzana and Venice. A shop in Irvine is “coming soon.”
Wanderlust was named one of the 17 best ice cream shops in Los Angeles this year, according to Eater. It was also named among the best ice cream establishments in the city by Thrillist.
