When do pools open in Louisville? Here is what you need to know about them this season
There is nothing better than beating the heat and enjoying the summer in a pool, and luckily Louisville has some.
The two pools available during the summer are open six days a week from noon to 5 p.m., Katey Cook, a spokesperson for Louisville Parks and Recreation, said.
Along with pools, Louisville has spray pads and spraygrounds, parks and many fun activities to enjoy the summer.

Louisville pools opened on Saturday, May 25.
What Louisville outdoor pools will open summer 2024?
Cook said two outdoor pools are open this summer:
Sun Valley Pool at Sun Valley Park
Where: 6505 Bethany Lane
When: Open six days a week from noon to 5 p.m. Will be closed on Wednesdays.
Fairdale Pool at Nelson Hornbeck Park
Where: 709 Fairdale Road
When: Open six days a week from noon to 5 p.m. Will be closed on Mondays.
Will Algonquin Park pool open this year?
The Algonquin Park pool is currently undergoing renovations to reopen Spring 2025. It will have several amenities, including a family slide, a lily pad bridge, a zero-depth entry ramp, a climbing wall and a vortex, according to a February press release from Louisville Metro.
Are there indoor pools in Louisville?
The Mary T. Meagher Aquatic Center in Crescent Hill Park, 201 Reservoir Road, is open 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Friday and from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
