Podiatrists Say *This* Is the Best Time of Day to Shop for a New Pair of Heels
High heels aren't comfortable, per se, but there are steps we can take to make them more bearable.
We know the normal ones: Don't buy shoes that already hurt in the store, stretch them out with socks and a hair dryer, et cetera. But one podiatrist told Marie Claire that we should also be considering when we're buying our heels. Huh.
Tania Kapila, D.P.M., told the mag, "Feet tend to change in size throughout the day because they swell. It’s best to buy shoes in the afternoon or later in the day rather than in the morning. Whatever size shoe fits you better during that time frame is the size you should be buying."
So it's settled: Sleep in, mosey around, have some lunch and then hit the stores. See you there.
