Kim Kardashian's family portrait struggles are relatable to so many parents
Kim Kardashian West is “so relatable” — seriously.
After sharing a family photo on social media Wednesday, many people are saying that the reality star is just like them.

With a vintage-like filter and trendy outfits, the snap seems to be pretty close to perfect. But Kim, who’s holding weeks-old baby Chicago, shared not all is what it seems.
“I don’t think you really understand how hard it is to take a good family pic. This was all we got before all three kids started crying. I think I cried too,” she captioned the photo in which only North is smiling. Her parents are brooding and Saint is distracted. “One hand holding the baby and the other hand grabbing the back of Saints shirt because he kept running away lol,” she described in a follow-up tweet.

Followers are relating to her experience by sharing their own family photo tales of triumph, or tragedy, in response. “I feel ur pain! Family pics are so hard to take but the memories are so precious!” one fan commented on Kim’s Instagram post. “I know the feeling. there’s always one blinking, turning a head or doing weird faces… all in the picture drill,” another commiserated.
Same. With every family photo!

I haven’t taken a family photo in years, for that very reason. Last time, we couldn’t get them out from behind the backdrops or off of the props or out of someone else’s photo. ?♀?

Kanye looks like he hates it. the boy looking the other way. The girl seems okay. But yeah I hated family photos

Some of us know how difficult it is to get a family photo. Just wait until one wants to wear what she wants and not what you want and you have a stand off. Lol Kids are a beautiful thing to have in your life. Just remember, "Even Roses with all their beauty, also have thorns."

Standard family photo, kids can never look at the camera at the same time

As a mother i understand the struggle but every single pic is the same moody face. I love looking back at my happy photos of my childhood

Some are even posting their own family photos in solidarity.

Even photographers are relating to the process. “Trust ever parent/teacher/ photographer has been there done that. Welcome to the club,” one follower wrote on Instagram.
Oh no I get it, I was (still am) a portrait family photographer. The noises and dancing around we all had to do to get the perfect photo is insane.

Many fans are stunned that Kim thinks the rest of the world doesn’t struggle to get a good photo, when it’s in fact quite the opposite. “Everyone with more than 1 kid understands,” one Instagram follower pointed out. “Oh lord!!! Trust & believe… any mom understands the struggle!!! but this looks good!!!,” said another. “I think the one that doesn’t understand how hard it is to take a picture is you Kim Kardashian… many other families deal with it every day in more challenging and hardest situations ..” a third pointed out.
I don’t think you really understand how hard it is to take a good family pic when you don’t have a glam squad or more disposable income than my annual salary to spend on hair, makeup and outfits for your family to take said family photo. pic.twitter.com/38BFIlieCf

No princess, we have NO idea at all how hard it can be to get a family photo with cranky kids. You're the 1st to have this experience and I'm so glad you enlightened us while desperetly wanting everyone to say how great you look. Here's a tiny violin to soothe your agony. pic.twitter.com/3Yn7qXdVBR

Yeah. NOBODY has ever tried to take a family photo before so I’m sure we don’t get it.

Others are praising the businesswoman for being honest about her behind-the-scenes struggle in this moment, even if the final product is seemingly flawless. “[M]an it’s quite nice to see she’s like any other family,” someone commented on the Instagram post.
