People Who Got Married Young, Tell Us Your Regrets
2 min read
Falling in love is a powerful thing, especially when you're young. For some folks, it can feel like marriage is the natural next step, and they'll get hitched as soon as they can. But marrying young can lead to a whole host of issues.
Of course, this isn’t always the case! A lot of marriages absolutely end in happily-ever-afters, even if the vows are said at an early age! But for the purposes of this post, we’re specifically focusing on regrets.
So we want to know: People who married right out of high school or college, what do you regret?
Maybe you and your spouse got caught up in the physical aspect of your relationship. Once a few years passed and the passion faded away, you realized that you actually weren't compatible and got divorced.

Perhaps you regret marrying so young because it limited your career goals. If you had waited until you were older, you would have been more free to chase high-paying jobs in different cities and made a name for yourself in your industry. Perhaps you're still married but always wonder what could have been.

Or maybe you simply grew apart. By the time you were in your late 20s, you had entirely different priorities, dreams, and goals than you did in school. Once you both grew up, you wanted different things in life and mutually decided to split up.
