Paint the Street, bar crawl and more: 5 things to do in Springfield this weekend

The end of June is fast approaching, and the Fourth of July is right around the corner; but this weekend still has plenty of events to jam pack and make the last week of June a memorable one.

Fundraising efforts continue this weekend to help support businesses impacted by a June 19 fire on East Adams Street.

Here’s a roundup of five things to do before July.

The event is aimed to elevate local artists with provided painting supplies and a canvas on the street. The squares will be judged in a competitive panel of judges, with a first-place prize of $350. Paint for fun squares available to all ages are available for $35; each participant will receive an event bag with paint supplies, including brushes and washable tempera paint.
