Padma Lakshmi, 50, celebrates summer with a red-hot bikini

If you can't handle the heat, get out of the kitchen — or follow Padma Lakshmi's lead and grab your unicorn pool float and hit the pool.

The Top Chef host, 50, is making a splash with a new Instagram video clip which shows her soaking up the sun in a red string bikini as she floats in a swimming pool to the tune of "Summer Breeze" by the Isley Brothers.

"WTF is going on in the hot looks dept?" actress Poorna Jagannathan said in response to the steamy shot.

"Heck yeah," added Drew Barrymore. "You are so beautiful inside, out and simply put… beautiful all around!!!!!!"

"Fine as ever," a fan wrote, while another commented, "Oh yeah sometimes I forget [you're] a totally hot model too!"

Though she's now best known for her work as a TV food personality and cookbook author, Lakshmi did get her start as a model, posing for the likes of Giorgio Armani, Ralph Lauren, Versus and more.

In a 2019 interview with Byrdie, the star shared revealed that she uses a face resculpting cream on her thighs, occasionally subbing it for slimming gel called Hot Cream, which she uses on both her things and stomach.

"It must have peppermint oil or something in it because it makes me feel like I'm freezing," she told the beauty site. "I put it on and I immediately have to wear really cozy sweats or a really thick robe and socks, because at first it's really cold, and then it gets hot. It's like IcyHot for your cellulite!"
