A new Packers-themed bar and restaurant is opening soon on Green Bay's east side | Streetwise

GREEN BAY — A new Packers-themed sports bar and restaurant is opening on the east side.
1st and Goal Sports Bar & Grill, is taking over the former R & D's House Divided location at 2148 University Ave. R & D's closed in January after seven years in business.
Jon Jeske, a business partner for the owners, Jose and Rebecca Morales, said he is helping remodel the building and was planning a soft opening for July 15. However, that date has been postponed. He will handle bar operations while the Morales, who also own Egg Yolk Café and Philly's York, will manage the restaurant.
"We are going to have traditional bar food with a twist of elegant dishes," Jeske said.
According to Jeske, they are painting the bar and restaurant, installing new bathrooms, a new bar counter and all new kitchen equipment. 1st and Goal will have 13 TVs, two of which will be 75 inches.
"We are also going to serve tap beer, which the previous establishment didn't have," he said.
Jeske said they are planning on having a couple of Packers players attend the soft opening in support.
"We are going to bleed green and gold here," he said. "But I do want to say that everyone is welcome."
The sports bar is will be open from 10 a.m. until bar close daily.
