Oprah Winfrey Loves Being in Her 60s. Here’s Why
To Oprah Winfrey, aging is but a wrinkle in time. And a damn rewarding one at that.
The Super Soul Conversations podcast host spoke candidly about aging in the March issue of InStyle and explained why she feels better now, at age 63, than she ever has.
She sees truth in the adage, ‘with age, comes wisdom,’ saying her paradigm is vastly different now than it was in her younger years: “You take no s—. None. Not a bit. In your 40s you want to say you take no s—, but you still do. In your 60s you take none.” Preach, Queen O.
She went on to say, “There’s both a quickening and a calming—there’s a sense that you don’t have as much time on earth as you once did. For me, there’s also a sense of [calm] about that.”
Thank you, once again for your sassy wisdom, Oprah.
