Oprah’s Favorite Charcuterie Board Is What Every Party Needs
As a suburban commuter who has to drive and take two trains to get into the office in New York, I’m used to The Schlep. It’s like I’m going on a weekend trip every time I head out — packing for various types of weather and what-if situations, stashing extra phone chargers and snacks in my bag for potential delays, and making sure my water bottle is filled to the max.
So when the company organized a Thanksgiving potluck recently, my commuter brain — and the worn-out straps on my tote bag — needed to figure out what I could possibly order that looked good, tasted great, and would be delivered on time so I didn’t look like a total freeloader. Boarderie popped into my mind immediately.

What Is Boarderie?
Boarderie and its curated cheese and charcuterie boards are a Shark Tank success story. Founders Aaron and Julie Menitoff appeared on the show in 2022 and got a much-needed investment from the sharks, plus major air time — both of which caught Oprah’s attention and earned Boarderie a spot on her coveted Favorite Things List in 2022 and in 2023.
The company’s highly decorative cheese and charcuterie boards can be ordered online with overnight shipping nationwide. Because the boards are made and assembled to order, you set a specific delivery date so everything arrives as fresh as possible. I put in an order for the Oprah’s Favorite Things Bundle on a Thursday for a Tuesday delivery, and it arrived right on time.
What’s So Great About Boarderie’s Oprah’s Favorite Things Bundle?
The Oprah’s Favorite Things Bundle is one of Boarderie’s newest launches this year, and includes two Boarderie items that made it onto Oprah’s Favorite Things list in 2022 and 2023: the Arte Cheese & Charcuterie Board and the 2-Cheese Double Cream Baked Brie Board. This was the perfect combo to try a bit of everything, although I’d say there was more than just a bit of everything.
The bundle includes 37 (!) cheeses, meats, dried fruits, nuts, chocolates, and spreads that are all ready to eat; four pre-made baked Brie pastries that need to go in the oven; and three standard-size boxes of crackers. And that’s just what you can eat — the rest of the huge package that arrived at the office included an acacia wood serving board as well as bamboo serving tongs and skewers. Thank goodness I had the extra help from editors and colleagues across The Kitchn, Apartment Therapy, and Cubby to eat this masterpiece.
The Kitchn’s Groceries Editor, Mara Weinraub, loved that the boards were overflowing. “I would park myself in front of this spread for the night if I spotted it at a party,” she says. “This is an entire potluck on a (serving) platter. That plus a bottle of wine (or three) is all me and my friends need for a night in.“ Among her favorites was the Wine Bathed Ubriacone — she even says it’s not to be missed!
Apartment Therapy’s Style Editor, Blair Donovan, went back for seconds for the blueberry goat cheese. “It reminds me of a TJ’s version that’s one of my favorite snacks,” she says.
As for me, I loved seeing how much my colleagues enjoyed the board that I almost forgot to grab some bites myself! I especially liked the Merlot Pecorino, chorizo, and hand-cut Turkish figs — they don’t appear on many other cheese boards I’ve tried or made, so they were a delicious and welcome surprise. The baked Brie (which I actually forgot to take a photo of before it was cut into!) was pure delight — the pastry was flaky, the cheese was gooey, and the flavors were sublime.
Are There Any Black Friday or Cyber Monday Sales at Boarderie?
Given the 50+ items featured in this bundle, it’s no surprise that it’s one of Boarderie’s more expensive items — $289, to be exact. But there are lots of other boards with more palatable prices, so you have options for any party or potluck you’re headed to. If you’re going for pure indulgence with the bundle, though, it’s $50 off for Black Friday and Cyber Monday with the code OPRAH50, which drops the price to $239.
As the holidays get closer and my calendar fills up, I love that I can just order ahead of time with Boarderie and know that it’ll arrive at the party — probably even before I get there.
