Olivia Wilde Snubs Ex Harry Styles While Sharing Her Pick for 'Greatest Singer on Earth'
Olivia Wilde revealed who she thinks is the best singer—and it's not her famous ex.
The 39-year-old appeared in the popular New York City-based 1-minute Instagram talk show SubwayTakes, in which people share their lighthearted controversial opinions while riding the subway. The actress and filmmaker opined in her episode that "good singers shouldn't do karaoke."
She then noted, "We don't need to hear a cover. If I wanted to hear a cover, I would just listen to the real song. It doesn't matter how good you are. There's no singer good enough that I want to see them do karaoke well."
Host Kareem Rahma said, "If you're Justin Bieber and you're doing karaoke—" and Wilde interjected, sharing that she thinks he's "the greatest singer on Earth."
Her pick for the greatest artist may be a bit surprising to fans.
The Booksmart director's last relationship was with Harry Styles, whom she dated for nearly two years after directing Don't Worry Darling. Wilde also received backlash from Bieber's fans in 2013 after she tweeted, "Bieber, put your f---ing shirt on. (unless you lost all your shirts in a fire in which case my condolences and please purchase a new shirt.)"
Wilde then clarified her statements while appearing on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno. She told Jay Leno, "It's something I'd say to my little brother, and I probably have said it. You know, just, 'put your shirt on. It's cold out there.' I meant it with all the love in the world."
