Old Town Fort Collins coffee shop to close after 20 years
Everyday Joe's Coffee House, 144 S. Mason St., will permanently close after 20 years in Fort Collins, the coffee shop announced last week.
The volunteer-run shop — which started as a neighborhood outreach initiative by Timberline Church in 2003 — is shuttering "after a season of prayerful consideration and a deep calling to further other missional passions," Timberline Church said in a statement to the Coloradoan.
"Due to rising costs, economically it is no longer viable to continue," the statement continued.
The coffee house's last day of business will be Sept. 1.
"We want to express our profound gratitude to the countless volunteers who poured their time and energy into making this space what it was," Timberline Church said in its statement. "To our dedicated customers who became more like family, and to the exceptional staff who have tirelessly served with joy – thank you from the bottom of our hearts."
