Oh Snap, Kylie Jenner Just Became the Youngest Self-Made Billionaire of All Time
Kylie Jenner officially hit the billions mark thanks to Kylie Cosmetics, making her the youngest self-made person to achieve hat milestone since Mark Zuckerberg.
Forbes made it official this morning, and Kylie said she "didn’t expect" the company to have this much success.
Ladies and gentlemen, it's official. Kylie Jenner is the youngest self-made billionaire of all time. Forbesconfirmed it this morning.
Last July, she made headlines (and caused a slight controversy) when she appeared on the magazine's cover. In case you forgot, people were a little upset that the mag categorized her as "self-made." At the time, Forbes calculated her net worth at $900 million, so she was well on her way to hitting the billions mark, but wasn't there quite yet.

It took her seven LONGGG months to FINALLY achieve this milestone. Lol, jk, but seriously, Kylie said that she had no idea her cosmetics line would be as successful as it has become.
“I didn’t expect anything. I did not foresee the future,” she said. “But [the recognition] feels really good. That’s a nice pat on the back.”
FYI, she beat out some dude named Mark Zuckerberg for the title. He became a billionaire at 23, which means Kylie got him by two whole years. And in terms of that whole self-made controversy? She gave an interview with Paper in February where she addressed that, saying her parents actually cut her off when she was 15 and haven't supported her financially since then.
"The self-made thing is true," she said. "My parents told me I needed to make my own money, it's time to learn how to save and spend your own money, stuff like that. What I'm trying to say is I did have a platform, but none of my money is inherited."
YEAH. Take that, @haters. Congrats, Kylie!
