You Can Now Send Holiday Cards Filled With Gin to Show You Truly Care
For those in search of a holiday gift that keeps on giving, Scottish small-batch gin distiller Daffy’s Gin has launched a Christmas card that comes with a special gift inside.
Send friends or family one of Daffy’s new gin cards and they’ll open the holiday-themed card to find a miniature bottle of Daffy’s gin tucked inside.
The 50ml bottles are placed into a letterbox, giving customers the option to insert a handwritten message onto the card with the recipient’s name.
The festive card includes the brand’s logo up front, with a cheerful message inside that reads “Merry Christmas and a Daffy New Year!” The message continues on the back of the card, where a play on a famed holiday jingle reads, “The weather outside is frightful but the gin inside delightful; let it snow…let it snow… let it snow!”
The cards can be bought individually for a price of about $10 or a set of six at for $60.
While U.K. orders can be placed directly online, those looking for international shipping will need to place an order by contacting the company by telephone or email. Delivery on the cards start on Oct. 22.
Daffy’s gin is made using pure wheat grain spirit from northern France that is distilled in an ancient single batch copper pot still and blended with eight different botanicals. These include lemon peel imported from Italy, cassia bark from Indonesia, orris root from Morocco, orange peels from Spain, mint from Lebanon, juniper and coriander seeds from the Balkan states, and angelica root from Belgium.
All of these flavors combine to create a gin that’s known for tasting notes of toffee, citrus, spice caramel, and mint.
The gift can even be paired with other jovial presents that range from a cheese advent calendar to a box of goodies from around the world from the Try the World subscription service.
