Norton offers free admission to Palm Beach County residents on Saturdays this summer

The Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach is offering free admission to Palm Beach County residents on Saturdays through the summer.

The museum at 1450 S. Dixie Highway has its free summer Saturdays for county residents through Sept. 2.

In addition, the Norton has two upcoming Community Days that will be free admission for all visitors: a Juneteenth event from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 19 and Games Around the World from noon to 5 p.m. July 20.

The Juneteenth Community Day will include live music, dance, storytelling and poetry readings, and gallery talks on African American art, the Norton said in a news release.

The Games Around the World Community Day will have programs throughout the museum that celebrate global cultural traditions.

West Palm Beach residents can get into the Norton for free every Saturday year-round. Teachers, active U.S. military members and veterans can get in free with a valid ID. The Norton also participates in Bank of America's Museums on Us program, which offers free admission to Bank of America cardholders at select institutions the first full weekend of each month.

The Norton Museum of Art is closed on Tuesdays through the summer. The museum's hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday; 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday; and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
