Nintedo Shares 'Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom' Gameplay and Special Edition OLED Switch
Announced earlier this week, Nintendo recently shared a gameplay showcase for Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The 10-minute look at the game reveals just show developers have built on 2017's lauded The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild also for the Nintendo Switch.
Shared by Producer Eiji Aonuma, a new focus in the upcoming title is a system for fusing objects. The game mechanic allows players to craft stronger weapons and even put together vehicles. Though it is interesting to note that the mechanic will not be exclusive to players and enemies will also go to battle with fused weapons. Another element shown is the recall ability found on an elevator stone that offers access to the floating islands above Hyrule. Overall the game feels familiar but is still updated with new additions that look to enhance the gaming experience.
Accompanying the look at gameplay, Nintendo also shared the release of a special edition Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Nintendo Switch OLED. Priced at $360 USD, the aesthetic makeover features a gold, black, and gray color scheme marked by Zelda-themed graphics on the system, Joy-Cons, and dock. Nintendo has also prepared a matching Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Pro Controller ($75 USD) and Carrying Case ($25 USD).
The special edition Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Nintendo Switch OLED will be available April 28, while the matching Pro Controller and Carrying Case will arrive May 12.
