Nicki Minaj Announces Her Baby's Gender and Shares Congratulatory Notes From Beyoncé and Kim Kardashian
Nicki Minaj has officially confirmed the news: Her first baby is here, and the rapper welcomed a son with her husband Kenneth Petty. Minaj was initially reported to have given birth at the beginning of October. The baby's sex and name weren't revealed then.
Minaj subtly announced her baby's gender in an Instagram post featuring notes and gifts she received from Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, and Burberry's Chief Creative Officer Riccardo Tisci among others.
"Thank you to Queen B, Kim & Ye, Riccardo Tisci, Winnie, Karol & everyone who sent well wishes during this time," Minaj captioned her shot. "It meant the world to me. I am so grateful & in love with my son. Madly in love. My favorite liddo boy in the whole wide world. ????????"
Beyoncé's note, featured first on the slide, reads, "Onika, Welcome to motherhood. God bless you and your family. B."
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's "Congrats! We love you!" note seems to have come with balloons.

But it's no secret that Minaj was excited to become a mother. The rapper first fueled speculation that she could be pregnant in July 2019 on Chance the Rapper’s "Zanies and Fools" track.
Minaj rapped on the track, "“He the Clyde to my Bonnie, ’bout to walk down the aisle and be a mommy. / Ooh, I remember when I cried like, ‘Why me?’ / Now I wouldn’t exchange my life for Armani.”
That June, she revealed she and Petty got their marriage license during an episode of Queen Radio. "We did get our marriage license," she said. "I think I have what I was striving for, just happiness. It was so hard to get to a happy place. Now that I’m there, I don’t want to compromise that for anyone or anything."
