Netflix Releases 13 Reasons Why Season 2 Photos
Warning: Contains spoilers for season one of 13 Reasons Why.
Just days after releasing a haunting teaser, Netflix's 13 Reasons Why debuted new photos from season 2 of the show, which will premiere on May 18.
In a series of images from the new season we see pivotal characters including Clay, Jessica, Mr. Porter, and Hannah's mom dealing with the aftermath of events from season one.
In March, executive producer and showrunner Brian Yorkey said that "Mr. Porter, in particular, will be coming to terms with the mistakes that he made, with the ways that he let [Hannah] down" and that he will be "very determined not to let any kids down in the future." One tell-tale photo from the new season shows Mr. Porter pushing Bryce, Hannah's rapist, up against a wall.
Jessica (Alisha Boe) is seen sitting in a courtroom holding up two photos of herself at a school dance that have been defaced. It has been confirmed that much of season 2 will deal with Jessica's recovery from also being raped by Bryce, and the teaser video suggests that photos (potentially Tyler's photos) will play a role in season 2. It's unclear why she's in a courtroom; the image could relate to Hannah's parents' open case against the school or a potential trial of Bryce.
Hannah's mom, Olivia (Kate Walsh), is also seen at a courthouse, surrounded by reporters, which suggests that season 2 will likely delve deeper into her quest for justice.
In another image Tony (Christian Navarro) is seen crying next to his beloved car, which has a shattered rear window, while the final image shows Clay (Dylan Minnette) talking to an unknown person in his bedroom.
