The NCIS: LA Premiere Will Actually Reunite JAG’s Mac and Harm and We’re Losing It
NCIS: LA will kick off season 11 with an actual reunion between JAG characters Mac and Harm.
The show has hinted that there still could be hope for their future.
NCIS: Los Angeles is really toying with our emotions now. First, they got us all excited about a JAG reunion during season 10. Catherine Bell and David James Elliott both signed on to make cameos as their former characters, Mac and Harm, in multiple episodes of the show. But that happiness wasn’t without its downfalls.
We later discovered that Mac and Harm, who were set to get married when JAG ended, weren’t romantically involved anymore. In fact, they lived totally separate lives and hadn't crossed paths in years. The only reason they saw each other via a video chat was to discuss the ongoing NCIS case.
It’s safe to say, fans were collectively crushed. Though we didn’t exactly know how that coin toss was going to work out for them, there was definitely hope that they ended up together. But as it turns out, there might be a shot for them after all.
Hetty had already suggested that their "final chapter isn't written yet." And now, TVLine is giving us even more great news, reporting that Mac and Harm will actually reunite in the same room at the same time when NCIS: LA returns this fall.
“Their paths get closer and closer as the story unfolds, until ultimately they’re face to face in the same room again,” showrunner R. Scott Gemmill told the outlet. “Now what happens next?”
What happens is that they realize how great they are for each other and live happily ever after! At least, that would be our ideal ending.
We still have a few weeks before we find out for sure, but fingers-crossed for at least some closure between Mac and Harm. Or a full-on reboot. Whatever's easiest.
